Founder, Cass Fino-Radin
Cass founded Small Data Industries in 2017 with three driving principles: first, a desire to increase access to expertise in stewarding digital art and cultural heritage – to make the practices and capabilities of the world’s best museums and archives accessible to all; second, to build a space where collaboration with artists on the preservation of their legacies could occur outside of institutional frameworks; and last but not least, to create a collaborative and multi-disciplinary space where people from all different kinds of professional and educational backgrounds could build a career in cultural heritage preservation.
Before establishing Small Data, Cass served as the Museum of Modern Art's Associate Media Conservator, and prior to that spearheaded preservation initiatives at Rhizome, as their first Digital Conservator. They are an alumni of Pratt Institute, with a MS in Library and Information Science, and MFA in Digital Art.
